Conclusion to Lies The Government Told You
By Andrew P. Napolitano
Before you finish reading this book, return to those quotations at the beginning. Did I prove my case? If you believe in God, you believe He is Truth. But a Roman governor asks if anyone can know the truth, and a modern-day American vice president marvels at its debasement by the government. And two philosophers claim we are ripe for being plucked into the baskets of the deceivers.
As I finish writing this book, the country is consumed with a great public debate over proposals for the federal government to take over and manage the delivery of health care to every person in America.
During that debate, Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) was disciplined by his colleagues in the House of Representatives because he called President Obama a liar during the President’s address to a joint session of Congress. The statement that the President made, which provoked the Congressman’s ill-timed outburst, claimed that illegal aliens would not receive health care benefits under the President’s government option proposal, which essentially establishes a Medicare-type program for everyone in America under the age of sixty-five.
When the Supreme Court last looked at government attempts to deny social benefits to certain groups, the Court held that the Constitution protects all "persons"; persons are citizens as well as strangers, people born here and people who end up here, people here lawfully and people here unlawfully; and in the area of social services, whatever benefits the government makes available to the general public cannot be kept away from a class of persons based on their immigration status or that of their parents.

The symbol for Yin-Yang is a circle. In the circle are two symbols looking like teardrops, one black-the other white. They equally fill the expanse inside the border. They symbolically replicate harmony and balance in all things. Metaphorically this is a cool idea. In the alternative-metaphorical sense it exposes an All-American principle: what goes around-comes around.
Universal Healthcare was passed by a “comfortable” (?) 3 vote majority in the House of Representatives. Now we’ve see how sausage and political policy is made. It’s a condemnable & ugly process.
This was done without the overwhelmingly obvious consent of the American people. We only know what specific polls say on the subject. But it appears, according to polls conducted by CNN and CBS (both notoriously PRO-Obamacare), 59% and 48% of the people were opposed as polled by the respective surveys with 37% supporting the program for CBS’ poll and the rest undecided.
But according to The Heritage Foundation’s Morning Bell Blog by Conn Carroll on 3-23-2010, a full 76% of the American Public disapproved of the way Healthcare Reform was handled in Congress, but also a hefty “49% believethe rules and procedures used in Congress to get the health care bill passed have been mostly unfair”.
Government is the realm of politicians. The American Public has NOTHING to say about it. It’s been seen in this “historic” action. It’s not a matter of making your mind known and understood in public and private; it’s a matter of making the politician uncomfortable when you speak to him/her in public or private. By uncomfortable I mean you have to make them think. It’s a concept people in Congress have difficulty with: thinking on their own. Their leadership thinks for them. The Party Line is what they toe. The Party Planks are what they nail together to form the foundational support for the prison they’ll hold their free-will and simple sense captive in. The Party Privilege is to confine and constrain free-thinking by control of money and financial support to its nationally employed ranks. It’s how the game is played. Obama, Pelosi and Reid played that game well.

I live in a community that can’t even be described as a village. We have no organized government like a council or a board in charge of infrastructure beyond the Parish Council person representing our area. She’s a nice lady and works hard for us. I have her phone number, her address and know her on sight. That’s the way I like my politicians-accessible. But that’s from a country sensibility and understanding of the way I think it should be. You might think differently. But one of the things I’ve learned from my travels and my country residence is metaphors approach reality from different angles.
Like the programs of Big Government versus Milking Machines. (Say what!)
Okay. Look at it this way. We have dairy farms and we’ve moved from personalized, small family operations to large “factory farms” with thousands of cattle and mechanization taking the place of people. Is this better?
People care about animals. We call it compassion from the Old French compassioun (1340a.d.) It means pity or sympathy.
Progressive Political thought wants you to believe Big Government cares about the people it governs. But it’s a lie.

Editorial: Please Vote No On Unlimited Terms For The Politicians!
by Pat Bergeron
The following commentary is an editorial from LaNewsLink.com concerning the TERM LIMIT REPEAL PROPOSAL on the upcoming ballot in Iberville parish:
3 TERMS IS MORE THAN LONG ENOUGH FOR ANY POLITICIAN TO ACCOMPLISH THEIR AGENDA. THE GOVERNOR AND EVEN THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES ONLY GET 2. BUT SOME POLITICIANS IN IBERVILLE PARISH WANT MORE. THEY WANT TO BE ABLE TO LIVE OFF OF THE TAXPAYERS FOREVER.
IN 1997, WHEN THE PEOPLE VOTED FOR THE HOME RULE CHARTER. TERM LIMITS WERE ADDED TO STOP THAT FROM HAPPENING. NOW SOME POLITICIANS WANT TO CHANGE THE RULES. THEY WANT MORE. SO THEY HAVE CALLED A QUICK, SNEAKY, EXPENSIVE ELECTION TO PASS UNLIMITED TERMS. THAT'S RIGHT... UNLIMITED... FOREVER!
WHEN POLITICIANS STAY TOO LONG THEY BEGIN TO THINK THEY OWN THE OFFICE. THEY COVENIENTLY FORGET THAT IT BELONGS TO 'WE THE PEOPLE' NOT THEM. LET'S REMIND THEM WHO THEY REALLY WORK FOR, LET'S SHOW THEM WHO REALLY OWNS THE OFFICE.
PLEASE VOTE NO ON THE UNLIMITED TERMS PROPOSAL.
NOTE: EARLY VOTING WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, MARCH 13TH AND THE WEEK OF THE 15TH-20TH. ELECTION DAY IS SATURDAY, MARCH 27.
